ACTIVITIES WEEK 2018

At the West London Free School we like to provide our pupils with the chance to push themselves a little further beyond their everyday experiences.

At the end of Trinity term, as the school year draws to a close, and after a term of hard work, revision and end-of-year exams, Activities Week is the time when the staff share some of their wider intellectual, sporting and cultural interests with pupils at the school. As Aristotle put it, “nature requires that we should not only be properly employed, but be able to enjoy leisure honourably”.

As a school, we are in the fortunate position to be able to introduce our pupils to a wide range of leisure activities that we hope might spark a life-long enthusiasm in them. Our staff are travellers, athletes, musicians, artists and cultural enthusiasts. From climbing mountains to visiting the capitals of Europe, and from performing music to water sports: our programme for Activities Week offers pupils a wide range of possibilities for individual enrichment.

This is why Activities Week is a special time of year for us.

INFORMATION

- Attendance during Activities Week is compulsory.

- Activities described are indicative and may change, subject to availability or factors outside the control of the school.

BOOKING INFORMATION

- The booking process will go ‘live’ at 7.30pm on Tuesday 5th December 2017.

- The deadline for selecting your options is Monday 11th December 2017 at 5.00pm, or when a particular trip is full, whichever happens first.

- Places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. For over-subscribed activities, pupils can register on a waiting list here. This will record requests in date/time order and, if a place becomes available in an activity, the next on the waiting list will be offered the place.
